A reminder of our Members’ Evening on Friday 7th June, at 7.30 in West Stafford Village Hall. Judging of exhibits will begin at 7.45.
This is an informal event that offers you the opportunity to exhibit up to three things that you are proud of, from your garden or greenhouse or even a windowsill. It can be a vase of flowers, a bunch of asparagus, a display of spring vegetables, a pot plant or something completely different. Anything goes, and there are no rules restricting what you bring or how you display your entries. Please do have a go!
The competition is judged by members ourselves, though an anonymous vote. If you don’t want to enter anything, come anyway, and have your say on what should win our unique Mike Cosgrove Trophy for the most popular entry.
As usual, there will be a glass of wine, nibbles provided by the Committee and chance to catch up with friends. We attach a photo from last year’s event to give you a flavour of the evening.
For paid-up members, all the above is included in your membership fee.
If you have not yet joined or re-joined, payment of £5 on the evening will secure your membership for the remainder of 2019 and all the events in our programme – the visit to Xtreme Falconry on 12th July, the Summer Show, our September guided walk in Thorncombe Wood, the October talk & discount buying evening at Olives et Al, and our November AGM prize-giving and social evening. It is still brilliant value, and will also include discount buying from the Suttons 2020 seed and plant catalogue that is issued in September.
We hope you will come along.
